Katy Perry and Russell Brand

Bubblegum pop star Katy Perry earned $44 million in endorsement deals and from sales of her album, “Teenage Dream,” from May 2010 to May 2011, Forbes reported. That’s more than six times the $6.6 million estimated net worth (net worth, not annual salary) of her actor/comedian husband, Russell Brand.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

From May 2010 to May 2011, Angelina Jolie earned $30 million, according to Forbes Magazine’s annual Celebrity 100 report. The mega star, UN Goodwill Ambassador, and mother of six made her money mostly from the movies—”Salt,” which was originally written for Tom Cruise but ended up starring Jolie as a Russian assassin/spy, earned $300 million, and “The Tourist” earned $280 million. Her life partner, Brad Pitt, is no slacker in the earning department, but even he didn’t top his famous not-wife; he brought home just $20 millionlast year, possibly because his last movie (“Inglourious Basterds”) came out in 2009.

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady

The way everyone gushes about New England Patriots player Tom Brady, you’d think he was the one earning the big bucks. And he is—just not as big as his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen. The highest-paid model in the world brought in $45 million last year, compared to Brady’s $31 million.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

According to Hollywood Life, the 30-year-old Kardasiahn makes about $5.45 million a year. How? She gets about $400,000 for her part in her family’s television show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” the retail stores she co-owns bring in about $350,000, magazine spreads and other publishing endeavors bring her about $250,000, she pulls in about $600,000 from ads on her website, and she earns about $650,000 from public appearances (at $10,000 to $75,000 a pop). But the big money-makers for this reality TV star are her endorsements: $3.2 million came from promoting Quick Trim diet products, Fusion Beauty, Bravada, Fit In Your Jeans by Friday workout DVDs, Beach Bunny Swimwear, Kardashian for Bebe line, Kim Kardashian perfume at Sephora.

On the other hand: Humphries, 26, earns about $3.2 million a year playing basketball for the New Jersey Nets, according to therichest.org. No word yet on any official endorsement deals, but he may want to get cracking—he dropped $2 million on Kim’s enormous engagement ring

Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon

Kyra Sedgwick brings home $275,000 per episode for her work on TNT’s “The Closer,” which is far more than her husband, the ubiquitous Kevin Bacon, is earning these days, given that he’s home in New York with the kids while she’s working in Los Angeles. “My son’s in college now, but Kevin is home with our daughter,” she said in a 2008 interview with Redbook. “I think it’s giving them a chance to have a relationship that they otherwise may not have.”

The couple has been married for 20 years, and they’ve taken turns being the breadwinner. The coin may flip again soon, though: “The Closer” just entered it’s final season. “I can remember struggling in my 30s, work-wise, and he said to me, ‘We are workhorse actors and we will always be workhorse actors’,” Sedgwick told Redbook. “It really resonated with me. I thought, ‘OK, I’m not going to get that mercurial rise. I’m not going to have that thing that’s going to make me the “star,” but I’m going to work consistently.’ And we both have.”
