Fall Transitions…. some ends, some beginnings…. what a perfect time to discuss consignment clothing!
We’re so excited to talk about some of the enormous clothing boutiques that have been in touch with us! Rachel Cadie of Secondhand Curves is one of the coolest, down to earth Midwesterners we know! From that cool Illinois accent to her thoughtfulness around her store from her dressing rooms to her layout for plus women. We caught up with her this week for an amazing interview, so we don’t want to give too much away. You’ll see it on our site, next week. But, let’s chat a little about her store, Secondhand Curves.
You can visit their boutique for the latest plus size fashion and accessories. Their address is 5643 E. State St. Suite #2, Rockford, IL 61108.
From their site:
“There are always new items to choose from and a wide selection of top brand names. We welcome you to visit us today. You can also use our consignment services. We offer consignment by appointment.”

So, at Secondhand Curves, your items have a 90 day period to sell. Once the 90 days is over you can either pick your items back up or donate them. You can earn up to 50% from your sold items, which is awesome! They accept clothing size 12 and up, seasonal items, trendy items (purchased within the last 5 years), purses, jewelry, shoes, accessories and perfume.

If you have any questions, their number is 779.770.6583!
Also check out their Secondhand Curves Convention in the Chicago area, this weekend! We are so bummed because we’ll be at Curvy Con in NYC! But, you can learn more HERE.
Here’s a description from the Facebook Event:
Women’s plus size fashion convention/expo. Fashion show, 20+ Shopping vendors, Beauty Bar with complimentary services and discounted services, keynote speakers, tons of giveaways, and more! You don’t want to miss this event! This event will be located at the Hoffman House in Rockford, Illinois on Sunday, September 9th. 12-4PM. Tickets are $12 in store at Secondhand Curves or $15 at the door of the event. Hope to see you there! Tickets go on sale July 7th! This is an age 15 and up end.
I mean…. is it a coincidence their website is purple? Maybe we were just meant to be, Rachel!
