Over the past few weeks, we’ve been really busy discussing some of the incredible events we’ve gone to around the country. And, we have to be really honest, sometimes we forget how difficult it is to travel while plus. As we’ve noted (not often, because it’s not all that necessary, the CEO and Editor of this publication is, in fact, not a plus size woman.
But, there are a ton (stop… that wasn’t a pun) of things we need to think about in the plus community, when traveling. We just linked up with James of The Resort (have you heard of this place? It’s AWESOME!). This is the world’s first and only resort dedicated to the plus universe. Equipped with reinforced charges and a jam packed schedule with everything from water sports to self-love discussions, we are SWOONING over this place. Hey James, we think you need to send us a pass so we can review it (wink wink!) But, seriously, what do you all think about planning a getaway? Let us know in our Facebook Group!
And, you know we’re huge fans of Sarah Sapora and her Body + Love Workshop… scooter accessible, safe spaces, body inclusive seating. We’re all about it. Um… news flash.. it’s coming up this weekend! We’re so excited to sweat out the summer toxins and cleanse our souls… and eat tacos from a truck!
From second seats to seatbelt extenders, fitting in booths and walking for extended periods of time… there are so many things we just DO NOT think about when we’re traveling… until of course we experience them. We have recently linked up with Nicole Stramberger of the Disney Parks for Plus Sized Guests group who will be writing a monthly column on traveling. But, acknowledging it is just part of the solution (don’t get us wrong, folks like Nicole are amazing and a huge reason the changes we see happen). Making changes to theme parks, cruise ships, and hotels is absolutely necessary to our plus positive lifestyle.
So, let’s get serious for a second… and by serious, we mean… not serious at all. Have you been following us on Instagram and other social media platforms? If you have, you know we’re planning an amazing career event for this February. But, we’re also planning our very own Plus Positive Cruise Getaway: The Bold Boat. We did some extensive research and we think Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines does the best job at accommodating our plus friends. So, we’ll be embarking on November 9th of 2019 and we’re so excited to bring you along with us. You can find the details in the link HERE. What’s included?

I just dicovered this publication and am very excited to review further. I appreciate the attention to plus adventure….i also notice that pricing is per couple….what about us singles? That is a whole other challenge with travel…add that yo the “plus” factor and it all becomes even more challenging given the extra cost
