Bold-File: Who is Amanda LaCount?

By now, you’ve you have definitely heard the news that Amanda LaCount will be joining us at the Love Yourself Plus Women’s Weekend in February. But, what you DON’T KNOW (because it’s brand new news) is that she’ll be joining our brunch panel!

So, you’ve seen this super awesome dancer strut her curves all over the country. But, who is Amanda La Count? We have written article after article about her, but we’d like to give you a quick Bold-File on her.

Amanda LaCount is a well known professional hip hop dancer, actress, singer, choreographer, and model. She has been dancing since she was 2 years old. She has 6 older brothers and sisters. While in Colorado Amanda was a competitive figure skater and qualified for Nationals 3 years in a row. She was also a competitive allstar cheerleader on 4 National Championship Teams. Amanda danced competitively and attended Denver School of the Arts as a Dance Major from 6th-9th grade. While in Colorado Amanda performed in a number of professional musical productions including Annie, Sound of Music, The Wiz, Cheaper By the Dozen, Scrooge, Carousel, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, etc. at regional dinner theatres, regional community theatres in CO and WY, and the National Tour for the Wizard of Oz. She also enjoyed riding horseback.

In January 2015, Amanda moved from Colorado to Los Angeles to follow her dream of becoming a professional dancer and actress. Shortly after arriving she auditioned and was signed by Bloc Talent Agency. Some of her most notable performances include dancing with Meghan Trainor on Radio Disney Music Awards, choreographing and dancing for Sony UK in Ryan Blyth’s “Raise A Glass”, dancing on The Ellen Show with Keala Settle singing “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman movie, dancing with Disney’s “Descendants 2” Cast on DWTS, dancing on 2 Episodes of The Voice, dancing in Katy Perry’s “Swish Swish” music video feat. Nicki Minaj, opening for En Vogue at Kings Theatre in NYC, dancing on the WNBA LA Sparks Crew for 2 years, and her own National Dance Tour last summer “Amanda LaCount Live”.

She has modeled for Miami Curves Swim Week Runway Show and Revel Dancewear. She has appeared in numerous magazine articles and music videos. Amanda has also been shot for print ads for RayBan, Citibank, Prom Girl, and Beyond Yoga.
